The Mead Early Learning Center, located at Creekside Elementary, offers Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) for families who qualify. Program options: Part-day A.M., Part-day P.M. or School-day depending on eligibility and best placement for child.
ECEAP provides a no-cost high-quality preschool curriculum, healthy meals & snacks, parent activities, and family support services.
Children are accepted into ECEAP based on their age (3 or 4 by August 31, 2021), family income (i.e. family of 4 making less than $29,150 per year); and/or qualify for a school district special education services; and/or have developmental or environmental prioritization factors that could affect school success. ECEAP gives priority to a child who: will be in kindergarten the following year; are in the foster care, kinship care, or involved with the child welfare system; are homeless; and/or are from families with lowest incomes.
ECEAP is funded by the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) in collaboration with NorthEast Washington Educational Service District 101 (NEWESD 101) and partnering with the Mead School District.
