Dear Creekside Stinger Families,
Please join me Tuesday evening via Zoom for a discussion of the important work of honoring and recognizing diversity, building equitable learning experiences, and including all students at Creekside Elementary School. This discussion will take place at 5:30 pm, right before our PTSO meeting, on Tuesday, June 8. Click here to join the meeting. We hope to see you there!
Please remember to give us some feedback on how we are doing at Creekside. Click here to complete a very brief survey if you have not already done so.

Growth, Love, and Learning,
Reminder…pre-order your yearbook
Please take a minute to pre-order using this link. We must meet a minimum number or we will not be able to order them. If you purchase one, your yearbook will be mailed to your home this summer. The cost is going to be $21 and some change. A final paper order form will come home on Tuesday. You can still order if you did not pre-order already. Just send your check made out to Creekside Elementary with the form your child brings home Tuesday. Anyone who pre-ordered should also send their check with the form. Remember your child’s yearbook will be mailed to them for delivery over the summer.
Pandemic EBT Benefits
Dear Mead School District Families,
Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) benefits for summer months are now available to eligible K-12 students enrolled in our school district. P-EBT is money for help buying groceries while schools are closed.
There is no need to apply to receive these benefits. Each eligible student will receive a P-EBT card in the mail. If your family has moved within the last two years, make sure your address on file with our district is up to date. The first payment of these benefits will arrive in the mail sometime in July.
Benefits are available to students who are:
- eligible for free and reduced-price school meals AND
- enrolled in our school district
Students can take part in our free meal kit program in our community this summer and still get P-EBT. More information on our summer meal program will be available soon.
Do you have any questions about P-EBT? If so, call the P-EBT Contact Center at 1- 833-518-0282 or visit www.dshs.wa.gov/pebt.

Ongoing, remainder of school year
Kindergarten Registration for 2021-22! Please tell your neighbors and friends in the Mead School District. Regardless of whether you want to have your kids in remote learning or face-to-face learning next year, please get them registered as soon as possible so we can plan for Stinger Staff! If your child is a preschooler starting Kindergarten next year, you must re-register at your home school. Here is the link to go right to the online registration page.
If your child is a preschooler who will be moving into a Developmental Learning Center for Kindergarten, you will register him or her at your neighborhood school. The determination about which DLCs all children will attend has not been made yet, but you can go ahead and register.
